Pine Ridge is seeking to assemble an awesome 2019 summer team made up of individuals that love Jesus and love kids! Through day and overnight camp experiences, Pine Ridge serves nearly 1,000 children, youth, and developmentally disabled campers every summer. The benefits to being part of our summer team are many. Year after year we listen to our summer team members express how much they have spiritually grown through the summer. Through serving others, growth is inherent. Would you consider serving Jesus at Pine Ridge this summer? We guarantee this will be one decision that you will never regret.
Summer team members typically live on-site and commit to the entire summer, including a week of training and nine weeks of summer camp. However, we still welcome applicants even if availability is limited. Our compensation package includes salary, housing, and all meals, but beyond that, you will have forever memories and friendships that are invaluable.
Students that are 18 or older are eligible for Cabin Leader, Activity Leader (lifeguard certification is requied and Pine Ridge can provide the training and certification), leadership positions, and service positions like serving kitchen, housekeeping, or maintenance teams.
Summer volunteer opportunities are also available to high school students that are 14 years old or older (as of June 1). Eligible applicants serve on our Support Team (Kitchen or Housekeeping) or our Junior Cabin Leader (JCL) Programs. JCL's must be 17 to be eligible. The Support Team and JCL applicants are typically scheduled in 3 week shifts of the summer. Pine Ridge will reward the volunteers with a credit towards a summer camp session for each week of participation in the program with a value of one week of camp earned after the completion of 3 weeks. This credit is not transferable to anyone else, including other family members. Applicants wishing to serve in excess of 3 weeks may do so on a volunteer basis. Other positions (some paid) may be available to high school students that have a certification or skill set that is needed in camp ministry. Interviews for most high school applicants will take place near the spring break time period.
