Senior High campers love to chill and make friends. So, we provide plenty of time for campers to connect with each other and build deep and real relationships while also pushing the bounds of energy at time with late night games, theme nights, competition, and general crazy fun. Our Sr. High program will focus on bearing good fruit for the life that God has prepared for them. Sr. High campers will be challenged to consider others needs ahead of their own while considering what Christ has done for them.
Sr. High camps are housed on The Ridge where they stay in our tabit housing. Commonly known as platform tents, the tabits are more rustic and intimate allowing for campers to build close friendships. Our Sr. High campers also have the ability to choose between 2 great programs geared specifically for them.
2 Camp Options to choose from:
Need that extra kick in your camp? Then our Sr. High Xrtreme week might be the kick you need. Offerings in this week include Battle Games (Laser Tag and Airsoft), Horsemanship, and Water Sports. These programs are optional add on activities to the already established camp programs which give each camper freedom to build the camp week they are looking for. This week we will push each camper to consider Jesus and the Xtreme measures he went to for each of them.
Horsemanship: This program is one of most popular programs so if you are interested be sure to register early on to ensure you have spot as space is limited. IN this program campers will be walked through a series of 60-90 minute classes that will teach them about horses and basic equestrian. Campers will get to choose their horse, take care of it, learn to saddle and ride it throughout the week. All equipment is included, but we do ask campers to bring their own boots/good riding shoes and extra long pants to ride in. No prior riding experience is required. Please contact our office with any additional questions regarding this program.
Battle Games: Battle Games is a program designed around our laser tag and airsoft activities. Campers in this program will spend 60-90 minutes a day taking classes on situational strategy, tactics, proper game play, and working together as a unit. No prior experience is required to join this program.
Water Sports: Our Water Sports program is for all of our adrenaline hungry, water loving campers. These campers spend their entire 60-90 minute a day session out on beautiful Pine Lake. This program includes tubing, knee boarding, water skiing, and others depending on the boat driver. These sessions include teaching and instruction on each water activity to increase the success of each camper. Campers with prior experience and those who just want to learn are welcome.
Photography Emphasis: Campers will have many opportunities to develop and refine their eye and skills for photography. The beautiful landscape around Pine Ridge, the varied activities, and the diversity of people here will provide the backdrop for some amazing shots. Each camper will need to bring their own camera. Camper photos from the week will be showcased in the end of the week slideshow and through our social media platforms. All campers in this emphasis will be given exclusive and unlimited access to all of the photos taken through the week.
Is hiking and canoeing more of your style? Then our Sr. High Adventure is for you. This is a two night, three day off-campus excursion will have you hiking and canoeing in the Manistee National Forest. Come experience God like you never have before. Surrounded by God's great creation and focused time in His Word each camper will be challenged to consider who they are and how much God loves them. After returning to camp campers will have the opportunity to enjoy all of the other activities we have to offer. This week is the best of both worlds!
