overnight camp overview

The traditional Pine Ridge overnight camp is 5 nights, Monday a.m. - Saturday a.m. Pine Ridge has also developed a mini-camp 2 night option, named Prime Time, for our youngest campers in grades 1-4.

Here are a few important things to know as you consider our overnight summer camp options. We have two housing areas that offer a variety of different programs built around the specific ages they serve. Each camp is listed below in greater detail.

Oasis Camp

This camp area is primarily used for our children's programs, grades 1-6 (entering grade for the fall after summer camp). Nine cabins, housing 9-13 campers each, provide room for up to 92 campers per session. Oasis Campers usually consist of two groups, Prime Time mini-camps (grades 1-4) and Oasis Kids (grades 2-6). All Oasis cabins have bunk beds, power, and a restroom. The dining hall serves nutritious and tasty meals each day (breakfast, lunch, & dinner).  There is also a snack shop where campers can buy sweet and healthy treats, ice cream novelties, and beverages.

Trained and qualified cabin leaders nurture a Christian community with their cabin groups through daily Bible devotions, exciting outdoor adventures, group games, music, team building experiences, creative chapel lessons, arts & crafts, and many other activities.

Ridge Camp

The Ridge Camp area is the site location for the youth camps that Pine Ridge offers. Jr. High camps are for students grades 7-9 with the Sr. High camps geared for students grades 9-12. Utilizing a rustic camp experience, young people are challenged from God's Word to live transformed and powerful lives in Christ Jesus. Within this unique atmosphere of outdoor adventure, youth can come make life long friendships that will encourage and support their faith while having the best time of their life. Daily activities range from beach barbecues, dynamic Bible teaching, team building challenges, group games, daily devotions, campfires, inspiring worship, special trips, and dozens of other fun camp activities combine to create an impact that lasts a lifetime.

Housing on the Ridge Camp consists of eight Tabits that can sleep 7-9 campers and a Cabin Leader. Tabits are commonly called platform tents that are rustic and do not have power. Restrooms and showers are in a centrally located and modern bath house.
