The traditional Pine Ridge overnight camp is 5 nights, Monday a.m. - Saturday a.m. Over the years, we have also developed a mini-camp option for our youngest campers. Giving parents and campers a chance to try out camp before committing to a full week.
Here are a few important things to know as you consider our overnight summer camp options. We have 2 Summer Camp areas that offer a variety of different programs built around the specific ages they serve. Each camp is listed in greater detail below.
This camp area is primarily used for our children's programs, grades 1-6. Nine cabins, housing 9-14 campers each, provide room for up to 95 campers per session. Oasis Campers usually consist of two groups, Prime Time Mini-Campers(grades 1-4) and Oasis Kids (grades 2-6). All Oasis cabins have bunk beds, electricity, and restrooms. The dining hall serves nutritious and tasty meals each day (breakfast, lunch, & dinner). There is also a snack shop where campers can buy treats & drinks using their snack shack account (set up at registration).
Trained and qualified cabin leaders nurture a Christian community with their cabin groups through daily Bible devotions, exciting outdoor adventures, group games, music, team building experiences, creative chapel lessons, individual counseling, arts & crafts, and many other activities.
The Ridge Camp area is the site location for most of the teen camps that Pine Ridge offers. Jr. High camps are for students grades 6-9 with the Sr. High camps geared for students grades 9-12. Utilizing a rustic camp experience, young people are challenged from God's Word to live transformed and powerful lives in Christ Jesus. Within this unique atmosphere of outdoor adventure, youth can come make life long friendships that will encourage and support their faith while having the best time of their life. Daily activities range from beach barbecues, dynamic Bible teaching, team building challenges, group games, daily devotions, campfires, inspiring worship, special trips, and dozens of other fun camp activities combine to create an impact that lasts a lifetime.
Specific camp weeks also offer a host of experiential options including Horsemanship, Water Sports, Battle Games and off-campus trips away from Pine Ridge. Specific Jr. High weeks also feature specialized focus programs in photography, art, and culinary arts to engage campers interest in real world experiences.
Housing on the Ridge Camp consists of eight Tabits that can sleep 7-9 campers and a Cabin Leader. Tabits are A-frame, platform tents which make use of lanterns for lighting. Restrooms and showers are in a centrally located and modern bath house.
