Our Core Values are to Share and model the message of Jesus

Core Values of Pine Ridge Bible Camp
Our Core Values are the principles on which we seek to fulfill our mission to "Share and model the message of Jesus in a safe, innovative and relational outdoor setting."

  • God's Word - The Bible is our authority in living out life and our aim is to share its message with campers. Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword. It penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joint and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."
  • Excellence - In every area of Camp, including our programs, facilities, communications, and work we desire to honor Jesus by doing our best. 2 Corinthians 8:7 "But just as you excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us - see that you also excel in the grace of giving."
  • Integrity - Our desire is to be an example to our campers, parents, donors, volunteers, and community in upright living. Proverbs 10:9 "The man of integrity walks securely."
  • Spiritual Disciplines - The disciplines of prayer, Bible study, solitude, fasting, meditation, verse memorization, and others are essential tools to practice in becoming mature in the Christian faith. Matthew 26:41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing but the body is weak.”
  • Safety - Camp must provide safety in relationships and physical activity so that God’s love can move without hindrance. Matthew 19:14 “Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’”
  • Celebration - Camp must be a place to live the Christian life to its fullest. Campers should have fun and experience celebration of our relationship in Jesus Christ. Psalm 2:11 “Worship GOD in adoring embrace, Celebrate in trembling awe.”
  • Community - Pine Ridge values the power of building community in an outdoor setting and participating in the network of families and churches that are local. Acts 2:44-46 “All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.”
  • Disciple Making - Pine Ridge staff need to actively participate in the lives of campers, discipling campers to walk in the ways of Jesus and training them to be servant leaders. Deuteronomy 11:18-19 “Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Matthew 20:26 “Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.”
