RIDGE CAMP OVERVIEW Specific camp weeks also offer a host of experiential options including horsemanship, water sports, missions, and river trips away from Pine Ridge. Housing on the Ridge Camp consists of six tabits that can each sleep 7 campers and a Pine Ridge Cabin Leader. Tabits are A-frame structures which make use of lanterns for lighting. Restrooms and showers are in a centrally located and modern bath house. Options for Ridge weeks are as follows (grades are listed for entering fall 2012 school year): Session 2, June 19-24 - Extreme Missions Gather Week! - Grades 8-12 Session 3, June 25-30 - Junior Steppin' Up - Grades 5-7 Session 6, July 9-14 - Sr. High Adventure on the Pine - Grades 9-12 Session 7, July 16-21 - Extreme Missions Go Week! - Grades 8-12 Session 8, July 23-28 - Teen Activities - Grades 7-12 Session 9, July 30-August 4 - Jr. High w/ Tubing Trip - Grades 7-9 Session 12, August 6-11 - Jr. High w/ Adventure Trip to Ludington - Grades 7-9
TEEN EXTREME MISSIONS - GATHER WEEK! It's an all new "Extremem Missions Camp!" Sign up to help less privileged children come to camp too! Here's how it works: Enjoy all the fun of camp, plus... go down to Grand Rapids to GATHER children from a community in need for a two-day camping adventure at Pine Ridge that you'll help design and lead. Part of your tuition helps them get to camp for two unforgettable days of faith and adventure! Start your summer off right! Make a difference in Christ! This mission experience is fully supervised but campers will be expected to conduct themselves with exemplary maturity and a willingness to serve. Campers who register for Extreme Missions Gather Week will be required to have two references and submit an application for participation.
Special Guest Speaker: STEPPIN' UP It’s a “Round Up” on THE RIDGE where coming-of-age campers “step up” to new and more rustic adventures. This fun & dynamic program is a rite of passage for those campers who are ready to stand firm in Christ as they enter the teen years. Realize the royalty you have in Christ. Sign up today HORSEMANSHIP, $50 additional feeParticipants will learn how to ride and care for their own horse (Optional class / one hour per day, limited horses available)
Special Guest Speakers: SENIOR HIGH ADVENTURE ON THE PINE RIVER Navigating the twists and turns of life can be a challenge… or an adventure! Gain a new perspective on life. Camp out under the stars! Canoe down the challenging Pine River! Discover the call of Christ on your life as you join together with other teens for a three-day trek through the wilderness. Special Guest Speaker:
TEEN EXTREME MISSIONS - GO WEEK! Put your faith into action! Experienced missionaries will help you prepare for a 2-day mission adventure to Grand Rapids! Enjoy all the fun of camp plus… Create a carnival for inner-city kids! Hand out free food! Use your talents to serve the children and families of a community in need! The life you change may not just be your own! This mission trip is fully supervised but campers will be expected to conduct themselves with exemplary maturity and a willingness to serve. JUNIOR HIGH TUBING TRIP Clusters of friends are constantly forming during the day-long float down the Muskegon River. Don’t be satisfied with the predictable when you can experience the incredible at Pine Ridge Bible Camp this summer! Special Guest Speaker: JUNIOR HIGH ADVENTURE at LUDINGTON Grow in your walk with Jesus as you join your team for a day of hiking through God’s creation on the amazing Ludington trails. Achieve new challenges along the way and float lazily down the river to a scenic picnic on the sandy shores of Lake Michigan. Special Guest Speaker:

What We RecommendPacking List
LABEL...LABEL...LABEL...EVERYTHING!Things have a tendency to get left at the lake or in the bathrooms during changing time. It is much easier to locate the owner with everything either labeled or tagged with your camper's name. Any clothes left at Camp and unclaimed by September will be given to a worthy charity. Pine Ridge is not responsible for lost or stolen articles. THINGS TO LEAVE AT HOMEGameboys, i-pods, cell phones, mp3 players, radios, and gum. |
